Used to love it and the remake was decent years later I seem to remember. Most of them went on to do quite well especially Spall who is quite a renowned actor these days.

Re: Auf Wiedersehen Pet
For his first acting role, Jimmy Nail is genuinely brilliant in it although he apparently became a bit of a cunt to work with in the second series

The later BBC series were absolute shit

I believe Barry was the Wolverhampton and district table tennis champion.

Barry wasn't from Birmingham.

He was from WOLVERHAMPTON.

Second series in Spain was better than the first.

Quality 1st series.
Great blend of characters.
Subsequent series deteriorated gradually but still watchable.

Gary Holton went to school with my father-in-law and was on stage with him at the end of his ‘This is your Life’

Not an issue as such just struggled with his gentle giant part at times Len.....still liked him just wanted his character to be a bit more aggressive more often.

Soh

What's the issue with Bomber?
He was alright.

I always found Wayne's "ladies man" bit quite silly, cos he was an ugly, skinny, annoying little cunt who'd never be able to pull owt.
